Beaches of the area

Twenty kms of coastline in the area of Castiadas are alternated by beaches and coves of great beauty, accessible by municipal and provincial roads or on horseback. In this particular region, the turquoise colors of the sea have been compared with the Caribbean waters.

One of the pearls of the area is the beautiful emerald waters of Cala Pira, located on the right of a promontory on which a small white tower stands guard.

Continuing along the east coast to the north we find there Cala Marina and Santa Giusta, extensive white sandy beaches framed by the brilliant green of the maqui. Equally suggestive but smaller are the coves of Monte Turno and Sant’Elmo, which extend for 350 meters in the first case and 200 in the second.

Continuing in the same direction, you will come across the famous Peppino rock, which owes its name to a fisherman who used to fish there. It is a flat granite rock that protects a crescent of clear blue sea, that on windless days appears to be a salt water pool.
